General terms & conditions

OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

These terms apply to purchases made on nailandbeautyonlinecourses.ie only. Our wholesale supply business (nailandbeauty.ie) trades under its own separate terms. By enrolling in a course or making a purchase on this site, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can enrol

Our courses are open to anyone aged 16 or over. No prior beauty industry experience or qualification is required to enrol, unless a specific course page states otherwise.

2. Our courses

All courses are delivered online through our course platform and consist of pre-recorded video lessons, downloadable resources, and assessments/case studies. Courses are self-paced - there are no fixed start dates or class times.

3. Accreditation and certification

Courses marked as AIT and/or ABT accredited meet the standards required for certification by those bodies. On successful completion (including any required case study submission), you'll receive a digital certificate.

Insurance note: AIT and ABT accreditation is widely recognised by Irish and UK insurers, and most of our graduates go on to obtain professional indemnity/public liability insurance after completing a course. However, final approval for insurance is always at the discretion of your chosen insurance provider, and we cannot guarantee that any specific insurer will accept your certification. We recommend checking with your intended insurer before enrolling if you have any doubt.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in euro (€) and include any applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards and PayPal. Klarna instalment plans are available on selected courses - see the course page for details. We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before your order is confirmed.

5. Course access

Unless a course page states a different access period, you receive lifetime access to the course materials for any course you purchase, meaning you can revisit lessons at any time after enrolling. Access may be suspended if payment is reversed (e.g. chargeback) or in the case of a breach of these terms (see Section 9).

6. Cancellations and refunds

Because our courses are digital content delivered immediately on purchase:

  • Once you've been given access to a course, your right to cancel under EU/Irish digital content rules is waived, as you'll be asked to confirm at checkout.
  • If you haven't yet accessed any course material, you may request a cancellation and refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected].
  • If a course is faulty, undeliverable, or materially not as described, contact us and we'll investigate and offer a fix, replacement access, or refund as appropriate. This doesn't affect your other statutory consumer rights.
  • Bundle purchases are refundable only as a whole (in line with the above), not per individual course within the bundle.

7. Physical kits

Some courses offer an optional physical kit alongside the digital course. Kits are shipped separately from your course access, typically within 3-7 working days for Ireland and slightly longer for the UK/EU. Delivery timeframes and any charges are shown at checkout. For kit delivery issues (damaged, missing, or delayed items), contact [email protected] within 14 days of expected delivery.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when enrolling
  • Keep your account login secure and not share it with others
  • Use course content for your own learning only - course videos, materials, and downloadable resources are our copyright and may not be redistributed, resold, or shared publicly
  • Follow any local licensing, insurance, or regulatory requirements that apply to offering beauty services in your own country - we provide training and certification, not legal advice on local regulation

9. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently, shared in breach of Section 8, or used to infringe our intellectual property. We'll aim to contact you first wherever possible.

10. Liability

We provide our courses with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of business income) arising from your use of our courses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded under Irish law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

12. Complaints

If something's gone wrong, contact us first at [email protected] or 01 840 9124 so we can try to put it right. If you remain unsatisfied and are an EU consumer, you can also use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated review date.
